Ucchan Nanchan (Kiyotaka Nanbara & Teruyoshi Uchimura) They are well known for a game show called Ucchan Nanchan no Honô no Challenger (literal translation: Challengers on Fire). The "Unnan" is a reference to another well known comedy duo. I forgot the odds, but out of many aspiring acts, only a few make it big. The competition is ridiculously cutthroat. One of them has an episode covering up and coming Comedians. It's a virtual time capsule of Japan from the 80's to the 90's ( and here are some of them uploaded to Youtube).
